In 2013 the Town of Vincent engaged Blackwell & Associates to undertake an analysis and design for the upgrade of the Leederville Town Centre. The resulting contemporary urban park was officially opened by Mayor John Carey together with the traditional custodians of the land, the local Whadjuk Noongar people, with a Welcome to Country.
The live music, scating demonstrations, food and facilities were enjoyed by many.
