AILA WA 2016 Awards

Aug 1, 2016

This year's awards saw over 40 submission across eight categories in a new awards format.

Blackwell & Associates submitted projects for the Cultural Heritage Award and the Civic Landscape Award categories and recent graduate Sam Harry entered the Graduate Award category, submitting some of the projects he has had involvement with during his time in our office.

Oxford Street Reserve received the first award of the night in the Civic Landscape category. The jury were"...impressed in the way that Blackwell and Associates has converted a car oriented urban landscape and transformed it into an inviting multipurpose space for the public to enjoy. The safe, green open space enables life from nearby shops and cafes to spill and occupy the site, bringing with it activity, life and a place for community to connect. Material, plant and structure choice allows year round use in Perth’s climate."

We are also extremely proud of Sam Harry who picked up the Graduate Award on the night.
